Roughly $1 million is being invested to revamp the inside and out of International Towne Center shopping center at 6109 Westwood Blvd., located at the intersection with South International Drive, near exit 1 of SR 528.

Roughly 30,000 square feet of retail space should be move-in ready at the strip mall property within the next 60 days, along with new landscaping, lighting and paving renovations, said George Tsunis, a New York-based real estate agent and minority shareholder of the property with Brooklyn, NY-based owner Westwood BLVD LLC.

The property currently features a free-standing Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse, a second vacant free-standing restaurant (former Bennigan’s), and a single-story shopping center with a handful of small-scale tenants that include Subway, a liquor store and massage parlor.

The 30,000 square feet could be contiguous, as Tsunis has relocation clauses in the leases of existing tenants, he said.

General contractor on the project is Orlando-based Harbco General Contractors. The developer financed the renovation through a standard construction loan, Tsunis said.
