M/I Homes of Orlando will be expanding its Narcoossee Village community in St. Cloud beginning in the spring.
The builder this month closed on two parcels totaling 27 acres on Jack Brack Road just east of the 199-lot subdivision now under construction. M/I Homes, which controls 102 of the home sites, paid $2.56 million for the adjoining property on Sept. 1. The seller, Jack Brack Holding LLC of Winter Park, had purchased the land in August for a combined $1.7 million.
Kyle Upper, an independent contractor who manages the land department for M/I Homes Orlando, told GrowthSpotter the new community will be called Narcoossee Del Sol. “The goal is to continue what we started with Narcoossee Village, so there will be continuity,” he said. “A trademark of M/I Homes is we spend extra money and effort on entrances, strong streetscapes and landscaping.”
The holding company had worked with the previous owners to win approval in June from the Osceola County Development Review Committee for a 93-lot subdivision. The land was rezoned this year from agricultural conservation to low-density residential.
The builder has tweaked the site plan, increasing the lot number to 95. Upper said the community would have its clubhouse and swimming pool.
The company will be seeking bids in the spring for site work; horizontal construction is expected to last through the fall. Upper said vertical construction would begin in the fall.
M/I Homes currently offers 13 floor plans at Narcoossee Village, with home prices starting at $234,000. Narcoossee Del Sol will offer the same floor plans and elevations but will have its own sales center and model.
