Juliette “Judi” Holler, matriarch of the Holler family and its Holler Classic chain of auto dealerships, spent $3.7 million in mid-April for a lakefront home just five minutes by foot from S. Park Avenue, where her family is one of the main commercial land owners.
Located in the 500 block of N. Interlachen Ave., the home lies a block east of S. Park Avenue with rear frontage on Lake Osceola.
The three-bed, five-bath home features 5,249 square feet of living space, on a 0.82-acre lot with a separate garden cottage, covered boat lift, dock and additional secured storage.
The sellers were Rudolph G. and Kathryn E. Hlavek, who previously paid $675,000 for it in May 1996. Now retired, Rudolph previously worked as a lead executive for Salomon Smith Barney, serving as branch manager for the firm in Winter Park and regional director for Florida.
Michael O’Shaughnessy Real Estate Brokers of Winter Park represented the seller, and secured a buyer on the first listing day.
“The Hlaveks had us sell a previous home for them in the area in just a few days time. They’re now building a house across Interlachen Avenue on a lot they purchased years ago,” O’Shaughnessy said Friday.
“For that first day on the market we held a huge open house for realtors, deciding to blast the listing across Winter Park. It’s what I call a Normandy invasion, this is one of those houses you have to come see if it ever went up for sale,” he continued. “I could have sold this house five times that day. The Hollers came in strong, over list price, and we said yes.”
