The president of one of Greater Orlando’s largest recruiting and placement firms paid $1.33 million in mid-May for a second home on West Orlando’s Spring Lake, just a block down the street from his family’s current home.

The buyers were Charles C. Tews, head of Tews Company, and wife Janice M. Tews, an attorney with Zimmerman Kiser & Sutcliffe.

The newly-acquired home, located in the 1500 block of Spring Lake Drive, occupies 0.84 lakefront acres, with a single-story home built in 1950 that includes four beds, 4.5 baths and 4,133 square feet of living area. The property lies just south of the Country Club of Orlando.

The Tews’ first home, in the 1300 block of Spring Lake Drive, was bought by the couple in January 2004 for $309,000, a two-story 2005 build with four beds, 2.5 baths and 3,499 square feet of living area. This home is currently under contract for sale, according to a web listing.
