The list of hotel sales on Kissimmee’s tourism corridor continues to grow with the recent sale of the Comfort Inn on W192 for $4.3 million.
The 4-story, interior corridor hotel sits on 1.4 acres at 5196 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy. Built in 2000, it has 63 rooms and previously operated as a Best Western before switching to the Choice brand.
Centennial Bank provided $4.9 million in financing to the buyers, SKAA Property LLC founded by Sarker Ashraf and his wife, Kazal Sarker.
The deed was dated Oct. 12 but it was filed with the Clerk of Court on Dec. 28.
The sellers, Bhikhabhi and Bharti Patel, had paid $1.4 million for the hotel in 2010. They originally listed the hotel in 2015 and projected to earn $1 million in revenue for the year.
Ashraf told GrowthSpotter he and his family relocated to Kissimmee after living in Illinois for about 15 years. This is their first hotel investment, and they also purchased a hotel management company.
More than a dozen hotel properties on the corridor changed hands in 2016. Countywide, hotel sales have now exceeded $48 million, led by the sale of the Spinghill Suites at Calypso Cay for $16.3 million and the Comfort Inn MainGate for $8.7 million.
