The city of Clermont wants to hire an architectural firm to design a new public works facility on 18 acres, according to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued last week.

To be located on Hancock Road, the new facility is meant to serve the current and future needs of the city’s public works department, which includes divisions for fleet, facilities, ground maintenance, transportation and engineering, as well as the city’s sanitation division.

The selected firm will provide architectural design, civil design and environmental permitting for the new facility. Design and permitting must be completed by mid-2018.

Scoring by the selection committee will be weighted toward the experience history of the company, project manager and team members.

A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. in the City Hall council chambers.

Applications are due by Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. to the city’s Purchasing Department office.

Full documents for RFQ no. 17-048 can be found at the city’s Purchasing Department webpage.
