D.R. Horton has assembled 22 acres in Osceola’s East Narcoossee community for a new 96-lot subdivision.
The homebuilder rezoned the properties last December for low-density residential development, and this week applied for environmental permits with the South Florida Water Management District.
Askey Hughey is the civil engineer.
Dubbed “Barrington,” the community will be at the northwest corner of Jack Brack and Tyson roads. The neighborhood is just west of KB Home’s Hanover Square community, which is in active development now.
Royal Oak Homes and Lennar/CalAtlantic are also actively building in the immediate area.
Barrington would be Horton’s fourth community in the St. Cloud/Narcoossee submarket. The homebuilder currently offers more than a dozen floorplans starting in the high $200,000s at nearby Turtle Creek.
