Magic Development and Wyndham Hotel & Resorts will announce details of a new branding partnership Aug. 28.
Orlando-based Magic Development currently has three luxury vacation home resort properties in operations or in development on Kissimmee’s West 192 tourism corridor. The firm is now building the first Phase of Magic Place by Pininfarina, a $3 billion, 500-acre luxury mixed-use development east of Old Town.
Phase 1 is planned to include a 250-key hotel within the first of five dual-residential towers, 80,000 square feet of retail and Magic Development’s new 23,000-square-foot corporate office/sales center, for a total investment of more than $180 million.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts already had a large presence in the Orlando and Kissimmee market. The company recently added a new Hawthorne Suites and has approved a full-service Wyndham Garden on Reedy Creek Boulevard.
Wyndham Worldwide, the company’s timeshare division spin-off, moved its corporate headquarters to Orlando in May.
