A 10,000-square-foot mansion in Riverwoods that former Chicago Bears receiver and return specialist Devin Hester owned from 2008 until 2014 came back on the market Monday for $1.895 million.
Hester bought the six-bedroom mansion in 2008 for $2.2 million and sold it early last year for $1.8 million. Now the family that bought it from Hester has decided to list it.
"They just have a change in location," said listing agent Marla Schneider. "They love the house, but the location doesn't work for them. The house is fabulous."
Built in 2005, the house has seven full baths, three half baths, hardwood and natural stone floors, four fireplaces, high ceilings, crown moldings, a kitchen with cherry and granite finishes and Viking, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances, and a master suite with a fireplace and his and hers walk-in closets. Other features include an office with built-in bookcases, a four-car garage and a finished basement with a recreation room, a theater, a sports bar and a playroom.
The 2.5-acre property also features a sports court, an in-ground 10-person spa, and a flagstone waterfall.
