Former Blackhawk Pirri pays $920k for Bucktown home

Former Chicago Blackhawks center Brandon Pirri, who now skates for the Anaheim Ducks, and his fiancee, Elyse Mishkin, last month paid $920,000 for a four-bedroom, 4,000-square-foot house in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood.

Pirri, 25, was drafted by the Blackhawks in 2009 and played for the team for parts of two seasons before he was traded to the Florida Panthers. In February, he was traded to Anaheim. He and Mishkin plan to marry July 22, according to their wedding website.

In Bucktown, the house the couple purchased was built in 2000 and had been listed for $949,000. Features include 3-1/2 baths, hardwood floors, two fireplaces, custom window treatments and lighting, solid-core doors, a kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar, a great room, a lower level with a rec room, a master suite with a natural stone spa bath, and a deck with a pergola above the garage.

Stefanie Campbell of @properties, who represented Pirri and Mishkin in the purchase, declined to comment on the deal.
