Former Chicago Bears offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod, who now plays for the Miami Dolphins, on June 22 sold his four-bedroom, 3,525-square-foot house in the Indian Creek area of Vernon Hills for $820,000.
The Bears signed Bushrod, now 31, in 2013 to a five-year, $35 million deal. After three seasons, the team released him in February when he failed a physical. He signed with Miami a month later.
In 2013, Bushrod paid $790,000 for the Georgian-style Vernon Hills house, which was built in 2001. The house has four baths, one fireplace, Brazilian cherry hardwood floors on the first floor, a recently refinished basement with engineered hardwood floors, a custom wet bar and a built-in entertainment center, walk-in closets in all bedrooms, a formal dining room with a custom chandelier, and a kitchen with cherry wood cabinets, granite countertops, a center island, stainless steel appliances and a butler's cabinet. Outside are a patio, a pool and a yard adjoining the White Deer Run Golf Club.
"It was in beautiful condition," said listing agent Penny Silich of RE/MAX Prestige.
Bushrod listed the house in April for $834,900.
