Illinois Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno sells home in Lemont

Illinois Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno and her husband, Nunzio, last month sold their four-bedroom, 6,000-square-foot, traditional-style house in Lemont for $775,000.

Radogno, whose west and southwest suburban district encompasses all or parts of Homer Glen, Downers Grove, Woodridge, Willowbrook and Burr Ridge, and her husband "downsized," said Patty Schuh, a spokeswoman for the Illinois Senate Republicans. With their children grown, the couple have gotten a smaller place within the district, in Woodridge, Schuh told Elite Street.

"They're empty nesters now, and they're truly just downsizing," Schuh said.

Radogno and her husband paid $160,000 in 2003 for the lot and then built the house. Features include five baths, a fireplace and a fully finished, walkout lower level with a home theater, a wet bar, a recreation area, a gaming area and storage.

Radogno and her husband first listed the house in April for $800,000.
