Pro golfer Jeff Sluman chips away at Hinsdale home price, now asks $4.495 million

Professional golfer Jeff Sluman and his wife, Linda, have cut the asking price of their 13-room, custom-built mansion in Hinsdale from $4.75 million to $4.495 million.

Now part of the PGA Tour's Champions Tour, Sluman, 58, won the 1988 PGA Championship. Longtime Hinsdale-area residents, the Slumans had the five-bedroom, 9,000-square-foot mansion built in 2003 and 2004. Features include five full baths, a master suite with a sitting room, an elevator, a theater, a wine room, an exercise room, a bowling alley, five fireplaces, dry and steam saunas and a lounging deck.

The Slumans previously listed the home for sale in 2010 for $5.45 million but pulled it from the market in 2013. Their new listing price is the lowest amount they have asked for the mansion.

Michael LaFido of Conlon/Christie's is the listing agent.
