WMAQ-Ch. 5 anchor Lauren Jiggetts sells Lincoln Park house for $1.195 million

WMAQ-Ch. 5 anchor and reporter Lauren Jiggetts and her husband, Patrick Donovan, on Friday sold their four-bedroom, 3,200-square-foot house in the Lincoln Park area for $1.195 million.

The couple, who have been married since 2009 and welcomed their first child in November, listed the house in the Sheffield Neighbors neighborhood for $1.275 million in June. They sold the house because they paid $3.65 million in June through a limited-liability company for a newly built six-bedroom, 6,250-square-foot mansion in the same neighborhood several blocks to the east. Their new house sits on a 28-foot-wide lot and has six baths, an elliptical four-story staircase, crown moldings, four fireplaces, a four-stop elevator, a master suite with three walk-in closets and a kitchen with two ovens, two dishwashers and a butler's pantry.

The house that Jiggetts and Donovan sold was built in 1991 and has 3-1/2 baths, hardwood floors throughout, three fireplaces, an updated kitchen, a separate dining room, a skylight over the main staircase, a master suite with two walk-in closets and a dual vanity, and a lower level with a guest bedroom/office, a full bath, a wet bar and a rec room. Outside are a professionally landscaped and fenced yard and a two-car garage.

Through a deed bearing only the name of Donovan, who is a portfolio manager at Citadel Investment Group, the couple purchased the house in 2012 for $1.08 million.
