PBS correspondent sells penthouse condo in Lakeview

"PBS NewsHour" general assignment correspondent John Yang, who previously was a Chicago-based NBC News correspondent from 2009 until February, on May 19 sold his three-bedroom penthouse condominium unit in the Lakeview neighborhood for its $700,000 asking price.

Yang joined "NewsHour" earlier this year and relocated back to Washington, where he previously had worked for ABC News and for The Washington Post. In March, he listed his Lakeview condo, and it went under contract just six days later.

The seventh-floor unit has a split floor plan, with 2-1/2 baths, hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, a master suite with a spa-size bathroom and walk-in closet and a large wraparound terrace that has a gas fire pit and views of downtown Chicago.

Yang paid $660,000 for the unit in 2013.
