WLS' Karen Jordan lists Skokie house for $675,000

WLS-Ch. 7 weekend news anchor Karen Jordan and her husband, WMAQ-Ch. 5 general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor Christian Farr, are asking $675,000 for their four-bedroom, all-brick house in Skokie.

Jordan, 43, grew up just one town away in Evanston, and is the daughter of longtime WGN-Ch. 9 news anchor and reporter Robert Jordan. Farr, also 43, has been with NBC 5 since 2009 and previously was a correspondent for WTTW-Ch. 11's "Chicago Tonight."

Jordan and Farr paid $800,000 in 2006 to buy the two-story house from its builder. The 2,800-square-foot house has 3-1/2 baths, hardwood floors, an eat-in kitchen with top-of-the-line, stainless steel appliances, two fireplaces, 10-foot ceilings and a finished basement with a recreation room and an exercise area.

Karen Jordan declined to comment on why the couple are trying to sell the house but told Elite Street that "we're hoping to stay in the northern suburbs."

The couple first listed the house in August for $825,000. They later reduced it to $799,900, $770,000 and $745,000 before taking the house off the market. They relisted it on Nov. 12 for $694,900 before reducing it two weeks later to $675,000.
