WBBM-Ch. 2 sports reporter and weekend sports anchor Megan Mawicke and her husband, Stewart Bradley, have a contract pending to sell their six-bedroom, 4,200-square-foot house in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. The house is listed for $1.649 million.
A Kenilworth native, Mawicke, 42, joined CBS 2 in 2004. She is the daughter of noted Winnetka real estate agent Barbara Mawicke and also is an agent herself. However, to sell their Lakeview house, the couple enlisted Coldwell Banker's Pamela Rueve.
Mawicke and Bradley paid $1.289 million in 2012 to buy the Lakeview house from its builder. The couple subsequently made some upgrades.
The house now has three full baths, two half baths, three fireplaces, an open family room with a wall of windows overlooking the backyard, hardwood floors and a front porch with French doors. The kitchen has white custom inset cabinets, white Calcutta marble, an island, a built-in bench and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances. There's also a rec room with a wet bar.
Mawicke and Bradley first listed the house in March for $1.675 million. They cut the asking price to $1.649 million last month, and the house went under contract several weeks later.
Mawicke did not respond to a request for comment, but Rueve told Elite Street that "she did a ton of upgrades. She didn't miss a beat. It's a beautiful house."
