Orlando Sentinel Media Group's GrowthSpotter.com business intelligence website was honored with a 2015 EPPY Award by Editor & Publisher on Wednesday for Best Business/Finance Website in the under 1 million unique visitors category.

GrowthSpotter won a top EPPY award, one of the premier awards in the news media industry, less than six months after launching its exclusive daily news service. The Wall Street Journal was its peer winner for Best Business/Finance Website in the category for more than 1 million unique visitors.

Other finalists in GrowthSpotter's category were BusinessinSavannah.com and VEGAS INC.

GrowthSpotter Senior Reporter Bob Moser was a finalist in the Best Business Reporting on a Website with under 1 million visitors. It was for his reporting on the uncertain fate of the Crowne Plaza Universal hotel whose majority owner was sent to a Brazilian prison for a host of serious crimes.
