Louise Toole Healey, a long-time resident of West Hartford and most recently of Bloomfield, died peacefully on February 13, 2020. Born in New Haven on July 28, 1933, she grew up in Scarsdale, New York, the daughter of Edward Dillon Toole and Alice (Curley) Toole. She was a graduate of Scarsdale High School '51 and Smith College '55, and later earned a master's degree at St. Joseph's College '80. Louise met her husband, attorney James Thomas Healey, at the wedding of her cousin and his brother. They were married in Scarsdale on August 6, 1955, and moved to West Hartford. She taught for many years at the School for Young Children at St. Joseph's College. Louise and Jim lived in West Hartford until 2014 before moving to Duncaster in Bloomfield. She was a long-time member of the Hartford Golf Club, the Town & County Club, the Smith College Club, and the Junior League of Hartford. A devoted supporter of classical music of all kinds, she was an active volunteer for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and the Bushnell. She was also a tremendous source of love and strength for her large family and her many, many friends. She is survived by her children and their spouses/partners, Christine Healey (Ryan Brown) of Washington, D.C.; Carolyn Caldwell (Gregory Fox) of Old Lyme; Alicia Healey of West Hartford; James T. Healey, Jr. (Pamela Dowling) of Naples, Florida; Brenda Bosch (William Bosch) of Great Falls, Virginia; and Helen Rice (Mark Rice) of Rye, New York. She is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses, Nate Brown (Emily Allen), Gabe Brown, Catherine Caldwell Velez (Michael Velez), Danielle Caldwell, Jack Caldwell, Emily Mowel, James Dowling-Healey, Allison Bosch, Margaret Bosch, Caroline Bosch, Melissa Rowan Rice, Peter Rice, and Kendall Rice; her four great granddaughters, Maddox, Eloise, Graycen and Winslow Velez; her brothers Edward Toole and David Toole (Doreen Toole); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jim Healey, her brother Allan Toole, her son-in-law John Caldwell, and her sisters-in-law Noreen Toole and Nikki Toole. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 3-6 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford.
