Bishop Beale Duncan lands contract to market new downtown retail space

Local developer Liberty Investment Properties and its joint venture partner Rock Properties, Inc. tapped Bishop Beale Duncan to market a the retail space of a new 92,000-square-foot self-storage development on the southeast corner of Magnolia Avenue and Colonial Drive.

The project is slated to be delivered by the first quarter of 2020.

Bishop Beale Duncan’s retail department is replacing Foundry Commercial, which formerly had the leasing assignment.

The firm will handle leasing roughly 12,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Last year, GrowthSpotter reported that My Neighborhood Storage Center will be the brand and manager of the self-storage space, located on the second and third floors.

According to a press release sent by the brokerage, the new development will feature drive-thru opportunities, which is rare for new development within the city's Central Business District. 

The team will focus on filling space with tenants such as a fast-casual restaurant, financial institution, service retail, a coffee shop, packaging/shipping store or a wireless retailer, according to the release.
