Apopka seeks engineering firms for continuing service contracts

Bob Moser

The city of Apopka is looking to hire one or more professional engineering firms for continuing service contracts that could run for the next three years, according to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued on Sunday.

The scope of the consulting contract could include water systems design, utility master planning and coordination, design development and cost estimating, preparation of environmental and engineering reports, feasibility evaluation and alternative analysis.

Applicants will be evaluated based primarily on the description of how they would approach each of the services described, their cost modeling, fees calculation and team experience.

The contract will run for 12 months from initial signing, with the option to extend for two more 12-month periods.

Applications are due by Sept. 19, at 10 a.m. to the city clerk's office.

Complete documents for RFQ no. 2017-21 can be found on the city's Bid Postings webpage.
