Florida Hospital Kissimmee is close to opening its new tower. With 80 private rooms and a state-of-the-art cafeteria, the building, featuring art by Florida artists, is set to take patients in July.
After the patients are moved to the new 94,000-square-foot tower, the older portion will undergo a facelift.
The tower is the second phase of a multi-phase expansion of Florida Hospital Kissimmee. The cafeteria will be open to the public and feature healthy food with a Latin flare, said Amy Pavuk-Gentry, a Florida Hospital corporate communications manager.
Earl Swennsson Associates was the architect on the project, TLC Engineering for Architecture, Hanson, Walter & Associates civil engineers, and Barton Malow, General Contractor
