India Pentecostal Church in Orlando is planning to build a new $2 million sanctuary at its home at 11551 Winter Garden-Vineland Road.
The church is in the process of getting approvals for a new 12,000-square-foot worship center, said Alexander George, the church's building committee agent.
The organization has plans for the expansion currently under review by the South Florida Water Management District, and with Orange County.
"This will be three times bigger" than the current space the church uses for worship, George said. The church's congregation has grown from 100 to 300 since its founding in 1987, he added.
Southern Bank is lending the funds for the project, George said.
The church's engineering consultant is John B. Webb & Associates in Winter Park.
"Once we get the permits we start immediately," George said. He did not know how long the construction is expected to take.
The church's existing buildings on site will be converted to Sunday school and fellowship space.
