Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, an outlet mall located east of Walt Disney World on SR 535, is expanding its existing shopping center by 110,000 square feet of leasable space.
The shopping center's owner, developer and manager, Sutton Properties, gained approval from Orange County's Board of County Commissioners in April to build on land adjacent to its existing 238,000-square-foot mall. The expansion is projected to cost $22 million, with a construction start pegged for the third quarter of this year and grand opening nine months after construction begins, likely Summer 2016.
While a general contractor had not been selected by the developer as of mid-May, contributors to the project include architects Cuhaci & Peterson, civil engineers Poulos & Bennett, and landscape architects Miller Legg & Associates.
