NAIOP Central Florida chapter seeks new executive director

NAIOP Central Florida will look to hire a new executive director beginning later this month, an opportunity to lead the growing local chapter of this trade association that has opened up twice in recent months.

Shannon Monteleone served as the local NAIOP chapter's executive director for nine years before stepping down in late June, and is now chapter administrator of SIOR Florida. Susan Godorov, former general manager of Pointe Orlando, took on the position for the past three months before opting to step down recently for family reasons.

"I believe in the organization 100 percent, love working with them and will stay on to make sure the transition is smooth," Godorov told GrowthSpotter on Wednesday. "I hope to get back in the marketplace as well in the future."

The local NAIOP chapter has close to 300 members, and covers a geographic footprint of seven counties in Central Florida.

The executive director at NAIOP is considered a full-time position, hired as an independent contractor. Focal points of the job involve marketing, event planning and organizational management by someone who is well known in the local commercial real estate community, said Brendon Dedekind, vice president/market officer for Prologis and member of the chapter's Board of Directors.

Lead members of NAIOP Central Florida's board this year include Cite Partners' Wilson McDowell as president, Franklin Street's Yvonne Baker as vice president and Colliers International's Joseph Rossi as president-elect.
