Spiezle Architectural Group, an award-winning, full-service architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, electrical engineering and planning firm, is expanding into Florida and opened its first office here in Maitland in the Lake Destiny Executive Center.
“We are pleased to expand our presence in the Florida region and look forward to becoming an integral partner within the community,” said Thomas S. Perrino, President and CEO said in a release. “This new office location is part of our “Smart Growth” approach to continue strengthening the firm and client relationships, both now and for years to come. Our enhanced space provides us with the ideal atmosphere to fulfill our ongoing mission to continue serving our valued clients and to develop new relationships.”
Perrino said the firm has already hired some local architects and is still looking to fill multiple positions. Spiezle operates primarily in the K12 and higher education, healthcare, senior living , urban planning and mixed use/multifamily markets; and it specializes in Green construction and sustainable design. The firm designed a net-zero energy prototype building for its client, TD Bank, which has been used for new branches throughout the northeast and southeast.
Founded in New Jersey in 1954, Spiezle also maintains offices in Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland. The firm is 100% employee owned and a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership.
The Maitland office is Class A space, designed with an open-layout and contemporary look that has been built to fulfill the needs of the firm’s strategic growth within the region as well as the continuing development of the firm’s markets in government, commercial, hospitality and not-for-profit.
A state-of-the-art work environment, the office is built to inspire transparency, collaboration and creativity among professionals through a combination of open workspaces and smaller gathering areas critical to the spectrum of daily activities. Natural light and daylighting were some of the main driving elements for the office layout. The furniture was specifically designed with a low horizon allowing natural light to flood the space. All team members have a view of the beautiful lake from their workstations.
