The city of Ocoee is seeking one or more engineering and planning firms on continuing service contracts for transportation plan consulting, according to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued Friday.
The city intends to award contracts to one or more firms, which will provide the transportation planning consultant services on an as-needed basis, performed through task orders issued under the contract.
Firms that apply are expected to demonstrate how their transportation planning expertise would be utilized, how they can help the city update a financially feasible Master Transportation Plan, how they'll aid in periodic updates to the Comprehensive Plan, evaluate the traffic analyses of private development projects, and more.
Action on the RFQ applications is expected to be taken by the city commission within 90 days of the opening date, but no timeline is guaranteed. A short list of ranked firms is projected to be sent to commissioners in late October or early November.
Applications for RFQ no. 1707 are due Sept. 26 by 2 p.m. to the city's Finance Department and purchasing agent. Full documents can be downloaded through the city's Open Bids webpage on DemandStar.
