Winter Park apartment complex fetches $2.5M
Casa Disena Apartments at 503 N. Interlachen Ave. in Winter Park have a new owner

A development group including longtime area builder Nancy A. Rossman closed Friday on the nearly $2.5 million purchase of prime land in Winter Park, according to people familiar with the transaction.

The Rossman group, through Interlachen Partners, LLC paid $2.465 million for roughly half an acre at 503 N. Interlachen Ave. that currently contains a 12,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style apartment complex with 11 units, say people involved in the sale.

The complex, Casa Disena Apartments, is just south of the Winter Park Country Club.

Rossman has been a builder and developer going back to the 1970s, starting out with strip shopping centers and single-tenant buildings.

She has been involved with Hartford Homes, higher end Osprey Custom Homes and Centre Construction Corp., frequently in collaboration with her sister Ruth.

The seller of the apartment complex was P.E.N, Partners, LLC of Winter Garden, whose principal is Eric Rosoff. Rosoff also heads Winter Park real estate company Eric Rosoff Investment Properties.

Rosoff did not return calls seeking comment about the sale.

No one answered the phone when calls were made to the Rossmans, Hartford Homes, Osprey Custom Homes and Centre Construction, leaving plans for the apartment complex unknown.

Rossman is already involved in a project on Interlachen Avenue, this one on its south side. An apartment complex with a handful of units at 124 S. Interlachen Ave. was bought about eight months ago for roughly $1.8 million and the plan is to bring it down and put up six high-end condos, people familiar with the plans say.
