The female medical care company will build a 6,200-square-foot women's care center with associated parking along the south side of Lake Nona Village.
The project will sit on about an acre of land southeast of the intersection with Northlake Parkway, according to the medical center's spokeswoman Jackie Hogan. It will offer obstetric and gynecological services, as well as office surgical procedures, she said.
The land is currently vacant and construction is expected to be complete in November, with Lamm & Co. as the general contractor. Hogan did not provide a projected investment budget for the project.
The property was purchased in December for $750,000 by an affiliate of Lake Nona Land Co., property records show, and it will be owned by an affiliate of Lake Nona.
The presence of Women's Care Florida fits with the medical bent that part of Lake Nona is taking, with health care and rehabilitation providers clustering in the area, although the clinic will not be located within Lake Nona's so-called Medical Village.
Established as a not-for-profit corporation in 2013, Women's Care Florida has medical offices throughout Central and West Florida.
