An entity tied to Orlando-based Jasmin Hospitality wants to develop a new hotel and stand-alone restaurant next to a planned Topgolf facility in Lake Mary.

The company purchased the 3.7-acre site on the northwest corner of Greenwood Boulevard and Lake Emma Road last summer for $2.1 million from Atlanta-based real estate investor and developer TPA Group.

According to a permit recently filed in the St. Johns River Water Management District, Jasmin Hospitality has plans to develop a 127-room hotel and 4,200-square-foot restaurant.

The site is part of a larger 22.5-acre Planned Unit Development by TPA Group, which includes Topgolf’s newest venue in greater Orlando, currently under construction at 1010 Greenwood Boulevard.

TPA Group bought the land for $4.5 million in 2013 from Duke Realty and put it to market for sale through JLL Orlando’s John Gilbert with development potential for up to 411,000 square feet of office.

The Atlanta developer is known for its office buildings in Lake Mary.

Nearby, TPA Group developed Verizon’s 220,000-square-foot office building at 899 Heathrow Park Ln., and the two-story, Edison at Primera office buildings spanning about 111,380 square feet collectively between Rinehart Road and I-4.

According to submitted plans, Jasmin Hospitality wants to develop a 20,830-square-foot hotel and stand-alone restaurant that support up to 82 seats.

The hospitality company is working with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to handle engineering and landscaping services. Lake Worth-based George White Architect is the architect.

Jasmin Hospitality Management currently owns, operates and develops hotels in Florida and Georgia. Its portfolio consists of brands that include Holiday Inn Express, La Quinta Inn, Quality Inn and Suites and Best Western.

In December, the company opened an 80-room Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Vero Beach. Executives at the firm were not immediately available to comment.

Plans for the adjacent Top Golf facility include a three-story venue with more than 460 parking spaces.

Morgan Schaaf, a spokesperson for Topgolf, told GrowthSpotter the company plans to open the Lake Mary facility in 2021, but the company does not have an exact date yet.

Once it does open, guests at the venue can enjoy dining amenities while playing games of golf using micro-chipped balls. ARCO Murray is the contractor.
