Zenodro Homes founder Lusant Ordonez has engaged world-renowned architect Carlos Ott to design his newest vacation home resort in the Four Corners area of Lake County.
"The gentleman who designed the opera house in Paris is designing our product," Ordonez told GrowthSpotter, noting he wants to create a new design standard for the Orlando market at an affordable price point.
"We want to bring high design, and we're aligning with masters of the industry."

Zenodro, which is headquartered in Lake Mary, has 145 acres within the Silver Creek community and is nearing buildout of the first two neighborhoods -- Serenity and The Retreat.
Ordonez expects to file new building permits in January for another 220 townhome units with the new product designed by Ott. He plans to start vertical construction on the first 100 units, Hidden Forest, in 2018 to be followed in 2019 by Tranquility (120 units).
The buildings are two-story block construction, and anything but typical. Zenodro hasn't launched its sales yet, but the interest list is growing.

"This specific architect has designed very well-known, high-end condo towers in Miami," Ordonez said. "He does a very modern product, and has unique shapes and natural materials that blend with the environment. It's beautiful, and it's going to be something that changes our marketplace."
He asked Ott to maximize the natural light, especially in the interior units. "We're doing huge windows from the floor to ceiling in front," he said. "In the back, we're doing wall-to-wall sliders."
The community was designed to protect mature trees on the site, and Ordonez hopes to bring in a renowned European landscape architect to complete the exterior work. Zenodro emphasizes eco-friendly, energy efficient construction, a highlight of which is sprayfoam insulation in the block walls.
"Aside from being thermal, it's also an acoustical barrier," he said.
Ordonez said the townhomes will be priced starting at $229,900. Each Zenodro unit has a private pool, and the neighborhoods all have communal pools, playgrounds and gyms.

"As far as price point, we're comparable to Festival," Ordonez said. "People compare us to West Lucaya, also, but they don't have private pools. There's nobody doing what we're doing in this price range."
Modern architecture is trending now among new resort communities. Breeze de Mar will be a 150-acre condo hotel resort with contemporary "party houses" on stilts in a huge lake. Magic Development just launched sales for its newest Magic Village townhome resort, designed by Pininfarina.
Zenodro still has two more projects planned for Silver Creek: Sunrise Point will be a 132-unit, garden-style condo community planned for construction in 2020. The last phase will be Hidden Lakes.
"That's going to be a new product," Ordonez said. "It looks like single-family homes, but it's attached by a storage unit."
