The entrepreneur who started Champion Rent–To-Own furniture store recently bought a former Tuffy's Auto repair shop in Leesburg, with plans to renovate and reopen as a national tires store.
Located at 10742 U.S. 441 across from Leesburg's Home Depot, The 4,550-square-foot building will reopen in late July or early August as the first RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels in Lake County and third location in Greater Orlando, founder and CEO Larry Sutton told GrowthSpotter.
Sutton's SA Leesburg Properties LLC bought the Leesburg location for more than $1.22 million from Gal Leasing LLC of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The location is being remodeled for the new business which will offer customers the ability to buy tires over extended payment plans.
The company had been looking for a site on U.S. 441, which connects Leesburg, Tavares, Mount Dora and Eustis, and this location was considered a nexus point for those markets, Sutton said. The Leesburg location can also be overseen by the chain's Ocala store management.
RNR gives purchasers the choice of paying for tires over 120 days with no interest or stretching out the payments longer and paying interest. The company has been growing fast, with 87 franchises around the country and plans to sell more this year.
"We have filled out the corners (of the U.S.) and now we are filling in the middle," Sutton said.
