Tavistock Development Company is adding another two speculative office building plans to its pipeline for Lake Nona over the next two years.
Tavistock filed a Development Plan on Monday with Orange County for 170,250 square feet of new office space and associated infrastructure for what now carries a placeholder name of "Airport Business Center."
Spokeswoman Jessi Blakley described the project as spec two-story office buildings with roughly 83,000 square feet of conditioned area each. Company officials have said in public presentations that these buildings are projected for 2019.
"We are continuing to experience significant interest, thanks in large part to the corporate outreach efforts of Tavistock's business development team," Blakley told GrowthSpotter. "We want to be in a position to offer these significant corporate projects a place in Lake Nona to call home."
The project would cover 14.05 acres along J. Lawson Boulevard, which lies north of S.R. 417 and east of Wyndham Lakes Boulevard. The site is part of a 72-acre parcel directly west of the Voxx International headquarters building at 2351 J. Lawson Blvd.
It lies within the Ginn/Greeneway Park Planned Development, and benefits from having stormwater retention ponds already established along its north side, dug previously for the Voxx project.
The two new airport-area spec office buildings are just one of a few office projects Tavistock has in its pipeline for Lake Nona over the next few years.
Tavistock announced plans on Aug. 14 for a speculative 155,000-square-foot, six-story Class-A office building in Lake Nona Town Center on the southwest corner of Veterans Way and Lake Nona Boulevard. That multi-tenant building is planned to have 25,000-square-foot floor plates, upgraded design finishes, and free parking in a nearby garage.
The developer is also planning another 390,000 square feet in two to three office buildings as a cluster in a future phase of Lake Nona Town Center, not included in the upcoming Phase 2A that will include more than 800,000 square feet of commercial space.
