One of the largest homes in Orange County is under construction along Dora Drive on Lake Beauclair, just outside Mount Dora's city limits.
With 24,230 square feet of conditioned area, the sprawling home is dubbed The Wubker Residence on its plans, for the name of owners Warren and Lorelei Wubker.
Warren Wubker was formerly chairman of Ocoee-based Transaction Data Systems, Inc., which does business as Rx30, a developer and supplier of pharmacy management software solutions to the hospital, long-term care and specialty pharmacy markets.
Custom homebuilders polled by GrowthSpotter said this appears to be the third largest single family home under construction in the county, following the 25,319-square-foot home in Isleworth being built for Orlando City Soccer Club majority owner Flavio Augusto da Silva, and Westgate Resorts founder David Siegel's 90,000-square-foot Versailles home in Lake Butler Sound.
Half of the home's under-roof area is devoted to a separate "auto showroom" where the owner will keep his car collection, according to plans filed with Orange County.
Warren is a noted collector of classic American car models from the 1950s and 1960s. His personal profiles on car enthusiast websites show photos of Ford Thunderbirds, Mercury Montclairs, Lincolns, Cadillacs and Continentals.
The Wubkers bought the 6.45-acre property in December 2013 for $889,900. They did not respond to requests for comment on the home.
The 6,686-square-foot main living area will boast a cupola-capped spiral staircase and an elevator to the roomy master suite, which includes a large master closet and bathroom.
The home will have plenty of indoor-outdoor space as well, with patios and breezeways and a 5,200-square-foot pool deck overlooking scenic Lake Beauclair. The driveway and walkways add up to 21,800 square feet.
The Wubkers also own a 3,438-square-foot home on Crenshaw Drive in Orlando, bordering the golf course of MetroWest Country Club.
