Carl Atkinson, co-owner of Orlando-based dealership chain Greenway Automotive Group, and wife Sonia paid $2.75 million on Feb. 26 to buy a 9,540-square-foot home overlooking downtown Orlando's Lake Ivanhoe.

Located in the 1500 block of W. Ivanhoe Boulevard, the two-story home was built in 2003 on a one-acre lot, with five bedrooms and 6.5 baths.

"We are humble folks who have been very blessed to buy a nice home in a neighborhood that we love," Atkinson told GrowthSpotter.

The home has two two-car garages with second-floor guest cottages and a cabana guest house adjacent to the swimming pool.

Features include a newly remodeled kitchen in European style with plastered beam ceilings and limestone floors, a new wine cellar, a steam shower and spa tub in the master bedroom and custom closets, according to listing details online.

The backyard landscaping includes a rose garden, an estate lawn, fountains and a summer kitchen.

The home was sold by William P. and Lou W. Kennedy, who last bought it in November 2011 for $2.3 million.

Fannie Hillman Associates of Winter Park was the listing broker for the property.
