A retired NFL lineman from Sanford and his wife sold their 13,000-square-foot custom home in Winter Park last week for $4.55 million to a South African professional golfer.
located on E. Lake Sue Avenue in the Lake Virginia Shores subdivision, the property lies a block south of Lake Virginia. The buyers were Trevor J. Immelman and Carminita Immelman.
Immelman is a South African professional golfer who has played on thePGA Tour and European Tour, and won the Masters Tournament in 2008.
Built in 2015 by Viscomi Construction of Ormond Beach, the single-story home with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms features 22-foot ceilings and oversized floor-to-ceiling windows through much of the home, a library/study, billiard room with wet bar, a 750-bottle climate-controlled wine vault, a heated salt water swimming pool and spa, and a detached in-law apartment.
This will be the Immelmans' second home in Greater Orlando, the other being a 15,600-square-foot two-story they own on Windermere's Vardon Drive ($2.9 million paid in 2012).
The sellers were Jeff K. Faine and wife Brittnie Faine.
Faine was a starting center in the NFL for nine years, playing in Cleveland, New Orleans, Tampa Bay and Cincinnati. He's a 1999 graduate of Seminole High School in Sanford.
Since retiring from football in 2012, Faine has developed a restaurant business and Iron Lion Insurance, based in Orlando. He, Brittnie and their baby will downsize to a smaller home in Winter Park, a purchase they should close on in the next few weeks.
The seller's listing agent was Cristian Michaels of Premier Property Group III, while the buyer was represented by Richards Real Estate Group. The property was initially listed at $5.25 million in October 2015.
