The Orlando area has seen one of its biggest home sales of the year with $4.3 million paid for a Winter Park residence owned by Ernest and Mary Wilding.
Ernest Wilding, who manages his own private equity fund, sold the property at 1250 N. Park Ave. this week to Peter M. Dipasqua and his wife, Lynn, Orange County records show.
Peter M. Dipasqua made his fortune as a franchise and developer of Subway restaurants.
The home, known as "Villa Angelica," was previously sold in November 1999 for $1.15 million to the Wildings. Only a handful of homes have sold for more than $4.3 million this year, according to the Orange County Property Appraiser.
The 9,831-square-foot lakefront residence has five bedrooms, and five-and-a-half baths. The 4.5-acre property also has a large pool, a dock, a screened enclosure and a fireplace.
