In many respects, the son of real estate developer Art Falcone had the pick of the litter when it came to choosing his new home — for one, the location would be within his father's ritzy Reunion Resort in Kissimmee.
Nicholas Falcone, founder of Boca Raton-based NDM Hospitality Services, and his wife, Jaclyn, paid $1.7 million for a recently built 5,772-square-foot home in the 1000 block of Jack Nicklaus Court, according to deed filed Monday in Osceola County.
The model is one of several home designs that any future resident could choose from. In Nicholas' and Jaclyn's case, the couple went with the Muirfield design, which boasts seven bedrooms and seven-and-a-half bathrooms.
Lauren Arcaro, director of sales for Bear's Den at Reunion, represented Encore Capital Management and brought the buyer. She's been working with the company and Art Falcone for close to 28 years and implied the deal was akin to finding a home for family.
"It's nice to be able to accomplish," Arcaro said. "I just knew from the second they walked in that they fell in love with the house."
The couple chose an executive home design, but added some personal touches for customization. Those features include drop ceiling LED lights, custom flooring and a wizard-themed kids room that boasts a floor-to-ceiling mural of Hogwarts Castle from the Harry Potter books and movies.
The adults have a separate game room with a wet bar, pool table and balconies overlooking a golf course. Other features in the house include a movie room, summer kitchen and a resort-style pool and spa.
The house was built late last year within the resort's exclusive Bear's Den at Reunion neighborhood. In total, the community features 73 home sites, all of which offer views of the either the sprawling Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course or one of the resort's recreational parks and nature areas.
Residents at Reunion Resort have access to three golf courses, restaurants, tennis courts, a water park with a lazy river and several walking and biking trails. The 12,000-square-foot clubhouse opened earlier this year and features panoramic views of the course, fitness center, golf lifestyle retail space and event lawn space for group functions.
About 21 homes have sold in the Bear's Den neighborhood since Encore launched sales about a year ago, Arcaro said. Next door to the neighborhood, Eagle Trace at Reunion, a new townhome community in the resort, is set to launch pre-construction sales this summer.
Other notable home buyers in Reunion include Juliana and Alex Mallmann, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, and former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III.
