Floriday Properties, a land development division of June Engineering Consultants, is seeking approvals for a 95-lot subdivision on Boggy Creek Road west of Narcoossee Road.

Company president Randy June has contracts to buy five single-family homes to create the 19-acre assemblage just south of the Orange County line and the airport's Poitras Property.

Last week, the Orlando City Council approved the sale of the 1,800-acre Poitras tract to Tavistock Development Company, developer of neighboring Lake Nona.

Floriday Properties filed engineering plans this week for a 95-lot subdivision on Boggy Creek Road at Osprey Lane.

June told GrowthSpotter on Wednesday he plans a secondary connection at Osprey Lane, though the main entrance is just east of that intersection.

The proposed Osceola Parkway Extension toll road could allow for direct access to the Poitras Property from Boggy Creek just west of Osprey Lane. Project Engineer Clif Tate with Kimley-Horn said the recommended plan calls for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) to build the connection road under the OPE.

The Floriday project went through Osceola County's pre-application process last May, shortly after county commissioners approved a rezoning from Rural and Estate Residential to Low Density Residential.

Based in Winter Garden, Floriday currently has seven entitled residential projects listed on its website ranging from 38 lots to 400 lots. June said he could not disclose the name of any builders involved in the Osprey Ridge project.

Last month, charter school specialist Summit Construction Management Group filed construction plans for a K-8 charter school just west of the project, at 3200 Tindall Acres Road. Plans filed with SFWMD call for a two-story, 68,000-square-foot facility to serve 1,145 students.
