Jones Homes USA is expanding its footprint in Osceola County's Harmony golf community by coming in as the second builder in the active adult section, Lakes at Harmony.

The Orlando-based homebuilder made the announcement as it executed the first takedown of lots in Harmony West. Jones Homes, the exclusive builder for Phase 1 of Harmony West, paid $3.4 million on Monday for 58 lots in the community, which is now in development by Sun Terra Communities.

Jones spokesman Dean Turcol told GrowthSpotter the builder is under contract for 91 lots in The Lakes at Harmony. The 410-unit age-restricted community was launched in 2016 by CalAtlantic and was absorbed by Lennar when those companies merged.

The decision is natural for Jones Homes, which is already well-established in the St. Cloud senior housing market as master developer of Twin Lakes.

Jones Homes will offer 10 floor plans in the two Harmony communities with prices starting in the $250s. Buyers at Lakes at Harmony can chose from one- and two-story homes with the choice of two or three bedrooms.

Jones Homes will be building four models in Harmony West and Lakes at Harmony.

The all-new product line has been redesigned to emphasize open space living and upgraded finishes, including wide-plank flooring, quartz counters in all kitchens and baths, oversized walk-in showers with built in benches and brick pavered driveways, walkways and patios.

"We are very excited about these two new communities," sales and marketing director Deb Marton said in a statement. "Anyone who comes and sees the natural beauty of the Harmony area coupled with the unmatched quality and features Jones Homes offers will quickly envision themselves living here."
