Tramell Webb planning new Osceola subdivision across from Twin Lakes

Osceola County has already approved a preliminary sbudivision plan for Parkfield, a 149-lot subdivision on Hickory Tree Road.

Tramell Webb Partners is prepping a new 149-lot subdivision in Osceola County east of St. Cloud.

To be named Parkfield, it would be developed in three phases on 39 acres on Hickory Tree Road, a mile south of U.S. 192 and west of Alligator Lake.

Orlando-based Tramell Webb is known for employing new urbanism design concepts at its projects in Horizon West and Turtle Creek, a 250-acre community on Narcoossee Road in St. Cloud. The developer recently filed plans for Bellview, a 1,018-home community west of Lake Tohopekaliga.

Parkfield neighbors the massive new Twin Lakes active adult community now under construction by Emerson International and Jones Homes USA.

Parkfield would be built on 39 acres at the northeast corner of Hickory Tree and Alligator Lake roads.

Twin Lakes is approved for nearly 1,000 homes, and construction is underway on the first phase, which includes 223 home sites. A new sales office and model center are open.

Parkfield is not age-restricted. Trammel Webb successfully rezoned the property a year ago from Agricultural to Low-Density Residential. Osceola County planning staff has already approved the Preliminary Subdivision Plan and is reviewing the site Development Plan.

Engineering plans were filed this week with the South Florida Water Management District.
