An Ontario, Canada-based real estate developer paid $3 million this week for a 6.76-acre parcel at 11801 Roberson Road in Ocoee, with intentions to build some type of senior living facility on the land.

Greg Marchant, principal of Legacy Lifestyles Ocoee Property LLC, confirmed the purchase from Vivek Investment Corp, but told GrowthSpotter his group is still planning details of the development, and did not have more information to share.

The land was once considered for the NFL's Alumni Association's memory care facility now under construction on Tomyn Road, closer to Windermere, said Michael Rumer, Ocoee city planner.

Rumer said the former owners had put forth a site plan for a memory care facility in the Roberson Road site before the deal fell through. He hasn't heard from the new owners about their plans.

Marchant is a former principal at Greybrook Capital in Toronto, and former president and CEO of Marchant Securities, with experience in commercial, corporate and asset-based lending, venture capital and real estate finance.

He has partnered on real estate development projects in Canada and the U.S. with Hunter Milborne, CEO of Milborne Real Estate, dubbed the "Dean of Condos" by Canadian Business Magazine.
