To be located at 11650 Biography Way, the 6.22-acre parcel could have site work begin in early September for the amenity center, said Brock Nicholas, division president with Lennar. Vertical construction would begin a few months later, and the entire project should take 10 months to complete once site work starts.
Lennar filed a determination request with the city last week for staff to review the amenity center's layout and elevations.
Lennar's Storey Park has more than 331 acres and approximately 1,140 home sites planned. The company had sold 274 homes and had 129 under construction as of June 30, per its last quarterly report.
The amenity center is planned to have a snack bar with covered patio seating area, flexible space room for rental, a fitness center room and large swimming pool to the rear with recliner chairs, water volleyball net and other features.
Architecture and engineering on the amenity center was done by Cuhaci & Peterson.
Lennar announced in July it would debut its first Wi-Fi Certified smart homes in Florida at Storey Park, which will be designed to guarantee reliable coverage throughout the home and allow owners to control features of the home through a host of appliance and electronics partners.
