A Winter Springs-based developer is proposing more than 25,000 square feet of retail and dining on a vacant 2.75-acre parcel that's been left undeveloped for nine years, three miles from UCF.
A And V Property Group, Inc., an affiliate of owner and developer Van Nguyen, has filed a Development Plan for The Shoppes of Union Park, proposing 20,030 square feet of retail and 5,500 square feet of restaurant use in a new retail center.
The property would have nine retail suites ranging from 1,495 square feet to 5,456 square feet in size, and three restaurant spaces ranging from 1,625 square feet to 2,250 square feet, one of which would have a drive-thru feature.
Tuan Huynh, engineer with RCE, said the revised plan is under review by Orange County planning staff. He projects two more months for that DP to pass through the county's development review process, followed by three months to complete construction and architectural plans, and have them approved.
The property, acquired by Nguyen's affilate in January 2007 for $296,400, is already zoned Planned Development with the desired uses included.
