Developer submits subdivision plan for Celery Avenue in Sanford

Plans call for taking one of the few undeveloped parcels along this part of Celery Avenue in Sanford and putting in about 38 single family homes.

Eastern Sanford continues to fill with homes, with the latest planned development a roughly 38-house subdivision on Celery Avenue, called Celery Cove.

The homes would be located on a 9.8 acre cul de sac and surrounded on all sides by residences, with Brisson Avenue the nearest cross street.

The location, immediately east of Tusca Place, has turned into a residential enclave over the past few years as building conditions have improved and property owners have looked to capitalize.

The property owners are Goldchem LLC and Victory Deliverence Center.

The applicant, Alec String of Bryce Foster Corp. of Altamonte Springs, has submitted a revised preliminary subdivision plan to the Sanford Development Review Team.

The proposal must be approved by the city's Planning and Zoning Board and the City Commission before development can move forward.
