The City of Oviedo is seeking firms to provide professional architectural services for the next year or more, it announced in a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) published last week.
The architectural services under this contract could include facility and space planning, schematic design, needs assessments, design development, building renovation, preparation of contract documents, land planning, LEED consulting, site selection and more.
At least three individuals or firms may be selected for a contract period of one year, with the possibility of two one-year renewals, for a total of up to three years.
Services provided under this agreement would be on an as-needed basis using work orders issued by the city.
Evaluation criteria will be weighted toward the applicant's description of their project approach and management techniques, cost-effectiveness, firm strengths and recent project examples.
A deadline for written questions to the city is Jan. 10, and submissions to the RFQ are due Jan. 24, at 2 p.m.
The city expects to evaluate the RFQs and complete a short list by Feb. 2 of the top three applicants, with a staff recommendation and choices confirmed by City Council on Feb. 20.
Full details and documents on RFQ no. 17-16 can be found via DemandStar.com or the city's Purchasing Office.
