Westside Shoppes and Venetian Isle Apartments

Westside Shoppes, a new 70,700-square-foot neighborhood shopping center, will be located in the Horizon West master-planned community in Orange County near Walt Disney World.

The retail complex will be part of a mixed-use development that includes Venetian Isle Apartments, a development with 302 units, 44 of which will be townhomes, all with high-end furnishings, said Chuck Whittall, CEO of Unicorp National Developments, Inc.

The site covers nearly 117 acres, just north of the existing Lakeside Village shopping plaza that is anchored by Publix. The property is owned by North of Alberts LLP out of Longmont, Colo. Unicorp should close on purchase of the entire site in July or August, Whittall said.

The developer is in talks with a popular breakfast franchise for 5,000 square feet, an upscale steak house (6,000 SF), a Latin restaurant (2,400 SF) and burger restaurant (2,100 SF), according to Alexie Fonseca, leasing agent with Unicorp.

New lease agreements for Westside Shoppes include Creative Soles Dance School (2,400 SF) and I Fix Your I (1,200 SF).

Other named tenants for the shopping center: Gators Dockside (6,000 SF), Flippers Pizzaria (2,100 SF), Luxury Nails (2,000 SF), The UPS Store (1,000 SF), Wesmere Dry Cleaners (1,000 SF), Porte Noire (4,800 SF), Great Clips (1,200 SF), Philly Connection (1,200 SF), Jeremiahs Italian Ice (960 SF), Tijuana Flats (2,400 SF), AT&T (1,705 SF), Dunkin Donuts (2,100 SF), Goodwill (1,500 SF) and outparcels leased by Heartland Dental (3,700 SF) and Wendy's.
